Robynne Sapp and Dotti Berry crossed the border for a legal wedding in Surrey, B.C., on Nov. 23 with Yvonne Manville officiating.
The women were legally wed March 7, 2004, in McMinnville, Ore., and celebrated with a spiritual ceremony at Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine on July 31, 2004. The Oregon marriage was voided by state Constitutional Amendment.
Robynne Sapp is the daughter of Robert and Miriam Sapp of Lynden. Dotti Berry is the daughter of Marilu Johnson of East Point, Ga., and the late Gene Johnson.
Friends of the brides, Robert and Kathy Reim of Sedro-Woolley, were witnesses. The couple’s standard poodle, Rylee Joy, served as ring bearer. The couple lives in Blaine.
